Stretching and centering yourself is important in life to reflect and listen to your body. As you push yourself in the water to further your surfing you will need to counter that with down time and relaxation. Yoga will be your aid in this balance.
One class offered daily at a variety of locations, depending on class size, time of day, and weather:

  • at your hotel
  • around the pool
  • on the SUP boards in the river or past the waves out in the ocean
  • at a special location down the beach
  • on the beach

We offer three different kind of classes:
First we want you to relax with Hatha/Restorative yoga to unwind, release tension in the body, help you sleep better, think clearer, & breathe deeper.
 To counter balance, the second kind of class is Vinyasa yoga that will help you energize, strengthen, breathe better, breathe easier, feel calmer and move. The third is a fun session of yoga on the SUP boards as we paddle the river.

Leanne teaches a steady paced vinyasa flow that stretches your muscles and gets you out of your head and into your body. She believes yoga is for everyone and her students age in range from age 89 to 9. She has been taught yoga at the Yandara Yoga Institute. She runs a outdoor yoga studio under the quiet palm trees at Coco Cottages and distributes lovely heart felt baked goods around town.

We have a array of yoga instructors assisting our retreats. Janna (find bio on surf & Sup page) teaches yoga on the SUP boards and we really like the classes provided by Leanne Holder through Camp Coco. She will be covering our January and March classes in 2016 and will also be available for regular classes if you chose to stay longer then our retreat times. Classes wil be provided each day you are with us in Canoa and all by certified and well experienced yoga instructors.
